Here are the preliminary details on the 2025 Better Together Marriage Retreat
When: Thursday night September 18th - Saturday morning September 20th 2025
One price includes meals, snacks and lodging, plus all the standard Hilton Garden Inn amenities and there are many.
Members of Calvary Baptist Hattiesburg, Sherwood Baptist Albany, Central Baptist Albany, Lamar Baptist Association Church Members and Pine Belt Association Member Churches and other previous event attendees (Greenbriar Church)
are eligible for a special rate of $495 total , all inclusive, per COUPLE if registered before March 16th, Pool view rooms.
For general Standard rates: $525 per couple total, all inclusive. .
Gulf View rooms are limited in inventory and to first come , first serve registration and are $575 per couple, total , all inclusive.
All meals are prepared by the Hotel catering staff no continental stuff here, Real food, prepared really well!
Shrimp Boil is offsite, Included with the retreat, prepared by Pastor Andy and some friends, and other food will be available for non-Shrimp eaters
Special Guest Retired Pastor, Frequent Marriage Retreat speaker and and a main character in the movie Fireproof: Dr. Harris Malcom.

When you click submit on the registration button you will redirected to the Calvary Baptist Church webpage where you will click on our giving portal to pay your deposit. Payment schedule: $75 due at registration, refundable until March 15th, Half of total due by May 15th with final balance due August 15, 2025. Incremental payments can be made at anytime. Thank you!
What is included?
All Conference Material and Activities
All Hilton Garden Inn Amenities: Pool, Gym, Hot Tub, Beach, Parking, and more, the same as any Hotel guest.
Your very own Private Hotel Room with Private Bath, the same as if you were staying there on your own. ( people have asked so Im clarifying)
Meals:
Thursday Evening meal prepared by the Hilton Hotel Culinary Staff
Friday and Saturday morning full service, hot prepared breakfast buffet (not continental but actual cooked food)
Friday Lunch prepared by the Hilton Culinary Staff
Friday evening meal is a Low Country Boil (Fresh Gulf Shrimp, Conecuh Sausage, Potatoes ) at the Gulf Shores State Park Pavilion with Fireplace and Beach side worship service.
Not included is lunch Saturday after we dismiss at 11:30 CHECK LOCAL LISTINGS FOR GREAT PLACES NEARBY ON YOUR WAY HOME.

What Time is Checkin on Thursday?
3 PM- 6PM Arrive by 3 and spend some time on the beach before dinner at 7pm followed by some couple building activities and much fun!

Q: Can We arrange for your childcare provider to watch your child?
A: yes, there is a fee for room and lodging if staying in a separate room that fee is $300 and can be split with another child care provider to both providers in one room. We can work out anything, just have to cover the Hotel's cost and room policies. $300 is all we would ask, it wouldn't cover the actual cost. There is some underwriting by the church to offer that at $300.
Q: If I don't eat Shrimp, will there be food for me at the Shrimp Boil?
A: Yes, Pizza , please check the box on the registration form., If you do not eat pizza check that form, but plan to make other food arrangements. There are many fast food places nearby. ( Pizza will be inlcuded, othe food choices are at your own expense and procurement.
Q: Is the Price all inclusive as described above, in total for each couple?
A: Yes, it is quite a bargain but $495 covers all of the above and conference snacks (Gulf View Room is an up charge)
